"to live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else." emily dickinson

So yesterday was quite interesting. Or should I say scary? Either way, there was drama. Working in a repo office always has its, shall I say, charms?
On Saturday, while I was at a scrapbooking party cum baby fest (three scrappers brought their babies-4, 6 1/2, and 7 months old) I put my back out. I was having a bit too much fun playing with the babies. I ended up spending the rest of the party on the floor with the babies. It was fun, I just wanted to hold them and play with them a lot more. So I was out of commision on Sunday and Monday.
So yesterday I come in to work, still quite tender and careful of my movements. The day went rather quickly, which is always nice. That means I'm busy. Just after 3, I get a call from some guy who had been driving a car my agent had picked up about two hours previously. (I'm incredibly thankful the agent didn't go to the door for the keys! You'll know why in a moment.) I was explaining to him he would need to contact the finance company to straighten things out, he then threatened me, saying he was going to show up at the office with a shotgun and shoot me! I ended up talking with the police and filing a report. I won't be alone in the office today, and I'm leaving early.
Some people are really too crazy. Too much drama! Who was it that said "no more drama in my life, leave your worries outside"? Yeah, Mary had it right!
And hopefully, the work day will be uneventful.
As for the evening, today is the memorial of Jesus Christ's death. I was reading the verses surrounding his death in the Bible this morning. What an example of humility? Here he was, washing the feet of the disciple he knew would betray him within the next hour! I'd read that passage before, but it hasn't struck me this strongly before. It is true, you learn something new with every study of the same verse. It's wonderful we have that provision to live by.
Have a great day.
